When experiencing low back pain, it can be difficult to know what you should or shouldn’t do from an exercise perspective. Especially when it comes to core strengthening.
The “DEAD BUG” exercise is one of my favorites for this specific situation.
The two reasons I prefer the dead bug while experiencing an episode of low back pain are:
1. You are able to perform it without having to move the structures of the low back that may be inflamed or injured.
2. It can be modified to be easier or more difficult depending on your ability.
